Successfully represented an FDIC-insured financial institution in responding to an enforcement action by a federal regulator to develop a Reputation Risk Policy, including the creation of a Reputation Risk Analysis and the Procedures necessary to implement the institution's Reputation Risk Policy.

Drafted and successfully lobbied for passage in the Competitive Equality Banking Act of 1987 the exception to the definition of "bank" in the Bank Holding Company Act that allowed industrial loan companies to be owned by commercial entities and not be regulated by the provisions of the Bank Holding Company Act.

Drafted statutory language and successfully lobbied for its inclusion in more than a dozen states that had introduced legislative proposals impacting the life settlement industry, including monitoring both the legislative and regulatory initiatives in all 50 states and providing strategic advice to the client regarding proposals for the benefit of the life settlement industry.

Successfully represented an FDIC-insured financial institution in defending a claim from a large bank holding company in its multi-million dollar claim against the client based on several transactions using the automated payments system. The resolution resulted in a multi-million settlement for the benefit of our client.

Succesfully assisted the client in understanding the applicability of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 and providing strategic advice as to its impact on the client and affirmative actions the client can pursue under the provisions of the Act.
