Seasonal Solutions
WINTERIZATION
When leaving your home in the winter time it is best that you turn the water off to your home.
For sprinkler systems that are not being used in the winter it is a good idea to turn off your system and drain your water line to the sprinklers.
Easy Ways You Can Save Water
Fix Leaks. A dripping faucet can waste more than 3,000 gallons of water a year.
Install low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators, or flow restrictors.
Turn off the water when brushing teeth or washing hands.
Wash full loads of laundry and dishes.
Water the garden or lawn in the morning or evening to avoid excess evaporation.
Use a bucket of suds to wash a car or bicycle. Then, rinse quickly with a hose.
Install landscape irrigation and replace lawns with drought-tolerant plants.
Sweep it Away
Use a broom, not the hose to clean sidewalks and driveways.
Mulch & Save
Minimize evaporation with organic mulch.
